X-Fol – Exfoliative chemical peel program from Medique

Exactly how should we take care of our skin? Unfortunately there is no correct answer that fits everyone. The basics always remain the same, such as protection against UV light and not smoking, but different people have different skin types and sensitivities that demand individualization of skin care.
Facial peelings have been used now for many years in skin care regimens and rejuvenation treatments. Many formulas are available on the market to address various indications, depending on concentration of active ingredients, depth of penetration in the skin and degree of exfoliation.
Medique’s X-Fol Skin Rejuvenation program can help repair sun damage, smooth out rough discoloured skin, improve fine lines and wrinkles, control acne problems and brighten drab skin.
How is the X-FOL program different?
By combining four Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) plus two Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA), the X-Fol Skin Rejuvenation program provides an even exfoliation with less stinging and irritation than previous products.
Medique’s X-Fol products come in several concentrations (15-70%). Your physician or treatment provider will consult with you and assess your skin to determine the appropriate application. Highly skilled technicians properly trained by a Medique supervisor do the treatments. The higher-concentration treatments may only be applied by or supervised by a physician. It is usually recommended to have a series of 4-6 treatments 2 weeks apart and then 1 treatment every season for maintenance.
The treatment, available for all skin types, has very few side effects: mild and transient redness and fine skin desquamation lasting for only few days.
