Have model perfect skin
By Dr. Yves Hébert, Cosmetic Physician and General Practitioner
Let’s face it; everyone wants perfect skin that is soft, glowing and youthful looking. Unfortunately, not everyone was blessed to have the ‘model perfect’ skin to grace the pages of glossy magazines. Hormonal imbalances, weather, sun exposure and pollutants are all things that contribute to the nature of the skins appearance. Recent studies show that 80% of the skins aging process is affected by accumulated sun exposure.
Prevention is the best method to not only save your skin from the harmful rays, which causes premature aging, but reduces your risk of skin cancer. When going outdoors, always use a sunscreen with at least SPF 15, preferably incorporated in your moisturizer.
At Médecine Esthétique Dr. Yves Hébert, we help you to undo the damage that has already been done. There are a few options to treat the skin’s aging such as:
Chemical peeling:
This glycolic acid treatment enables the removal of the dead surface cells and is available in glycolic acid concentrations ranging from 15% to 70%. A qualified specialist will apply the solution on the cleansed face for five to seven minutes, as required. The acid is then neutralized and an emollient is applied. This procedure can improve the overall radiance of the skin and remove some of the abnormal pigmentation from sun damage.
Photorejuvenation:
IPL Intense Pulse Light technology or photorejuvenation is one of the best approaches to treat the aging skin. The BBL™ BroadBand Light from Sciton is an innovative technology using the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent results for a more youthful appearance of the skin. It helps reducing brown spots, superficial scars, vascular lesions (port wine stains, hemangiomas, rosacea, and telangectasias), enlarged pores and small imperfections in order to restore the natural complexion of the skin. This painless technology is risk free. Treatments last just a few minutes, leaving only a little diffuse and temporary redness. For best results, treatment should be repeated three to six times, a few weeks apart.
There are many options to achieve results that will leave you satisfied. Esthetic medicine can provide various safe and non-surgical treatments to help you have that model perfect skin you’ve always dreamed of!
